To guide COVID-19 public health interventions, the UCLA BRITE Center for Science, Research, and Policy (led by UCLA psychology professor, Vickie M. Mays) and the UCLA Center for Neighborhood Knowledge formed a team that identified Los Angeles County communities that are most vulnerable COVID-19 infections. Their published findings include an interactive map that uses important indicators that affect vulnerability to COVID-19 infection, including: 1) pre-existing health conditions, 2) barriers to accessing services, 3) built-environment risk and 4) social vulnerability.
