UCLA offers the following safety resources to foster a campus environment where everyone feels safe, welcome, respected and fully engaged in campus life. Many of these are also listed on the Campus Safety Resources web page, part of Bruins Safe Online.
Stay Connected

Emergency Contacts: For police, fire or medical emergencies, call 911. For non-urgent issues, contact UCLA Campus Police at (310) 825-1491

Report a Concern or Safety Issue

Report a Concerning Behavior: This report routes your concern to the appropriate campus authorities.

Anonymous Reporting: Dial (310) 794-5824 to report a crime or unsafe behavior anonymously.

Report a Campus Hazard: Use the Bruins Safe app to report a safety hazard.

Report a Maintenance Issue: The UCLA 311 app provides an easy way to request repairs or service that keep the campus beautiful and safe, such as reporting nonfunctional lights. You may also call the Facilities Management Trouble Call Desk at (310) 825-9236, available 24/7.
Personal Safety Services

Friend Walk: Available on the Bruins Safe App, Friend Walk lets a friend or family member monitor your journey and, if necessary, trigger an emergency call.

Community Service Officer (CSO) Escort: Available to accompany you during late hours to ensure a safe journey.

UCLA SafeRide: A safe and convenient transportation option for students during evening hours 
On-demand rides can be requested Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to midnight (excluding holidays and breaks). Rides can be booked using the TripShot app available for download from Google Play or the App Store
Safe Loop also provides continuous bus service arriving at stops approximately every 25 minutes and operates Monday through Friday from 6:45 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. (excluding holidays and breaks).

Fire Resources

UCLA Air Quality Dashboard: Air-quality sensors placed strategically around campus provide up to date assessments for our immediate vicinity. These sensors offer a more specific reflection of the campus air quality than other community or city sensors might.

Mask availability for those on campus: If desired, you may obtain an N95 mask from the Ashe Center or any residence hall front desk.

UCLA’s emergency response plans range from shelter-in-place orders to the full evacuation of campus, depending on the situation. If there is a campus evacuation, the fire marshal and UCLA Office of Emergency Management will determine the best course of action and provide guidance via BruinALERT.
