Big Ten recognizes 40 UCLA Life Sciences undergraduates for athletic and academic achievement

This spring, 161 UCLA student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Big Ten team, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday. The sports included are baseball, beach volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, rowing, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s track and field, men’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s water polo.

To be eligible for Academic All-Big Ten selection, students must be on a varsity team (as verified by being on the official squad list as of May 1 for spring sports), have been enrolled full time at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
