UCLA researchers–including Robert Eagle, a UCLA associate professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology–used portions ofTyrannosaurus rex teeth, to pin down the dinosaur’s body temperature for the first time, placing it at 97 degrees Fahrenheit, comparable to that of a human.
